How to Create the Perfect Graduation Album
1. Choose the Right Budget
The cost of a graduation album depends on who will handle the photography and the layout design.
1.1 Professional Photographer + Designer
The best solution for those who want excellent photo quality and a stylish, personalized design.
A photographer conducts the photoshoot, and a designer creates a unique album layout.
The average price of a finished album with a photoshoot is €40–60 per copy.
1.2 Professional Designer (Without a Photographer)
Modern smartphones allow you to take high-quality photos that are perfectly suitable for printing.
You collect the photos yourself, and our designer turns them into a clean and well-structured photo book.
This option is more economical but requires time to gather the materials.
Layout design is charged separately — usually €100–150 for the entire print run.
1.3 Create It Yourself
If you want creative freedom and savings, you can create the album yourself in our convenient online editor. We offer ready-made templates that are easy to adapt for your class.
Such an album can even be created by a student — both for themselves and for their friends.
The price of a photo book is €13–19 per copy when ordering 25 or more copies.

1.4 Folder-Style Photo Album with a Designer
A practical and budget-friendly option for small classes or when there are only a limited number of photos.
There is no online template for this format — the designer prepares the layout based on the materials you provide.
Layout preparation costs €60–70 for the entire print run.
The price per copy is about €8.
2. Choose the Format
2.1. Classic Photo Book
A stylish and versatile option with a hardcover binding that allows you to store a large number of photos.
The most budget-friendly option is a 20 x 15 cm photo book. Other popular formats: 21 x 21 cm and 20 x 27 cm in vertical or horizontal layout.
NB! When creating a book in the online editor, set the correct size immediately to avoid unnecessary work.

2.2. Lay-Flat Album
A premium format with a 180° page opening, allowing important photos to span an entire spread without interruption.
2.3. Folder Photo Album
A more economical option for small groups or limited budgets.
3. Prepare the Materials
To make the creation of the graduation album quick and smooth, it is important to collect all the necessary materials in advance.
3.1 Prepare
- portrait photos of students
- group photos of the class
- pictures from excursions, events, competitions, and school celebrations
- graduate questionnaires
- favorite quotes
- interesting facts and achievements
- creative works or memorable notes
In other words, everything that reflects the spirit of the class and makes the school years truly special.
3.2 Assign Responsibilities
To keep the process organized, distribute the tasks:
- one person is responsible for collecting photos;
- another communicates with the designer or works on the layout;
- the class teacher or school representative can help collect questionnaires, quotes, and additional information about the students.
3.3 Important!
Always label the photos — include the student’s first and last name, as well as the date or name of the event.
If the images are digital, the easiest way is to add this information to the file name.
Paper photos should be labeled on the back.
This helps avoid confusion during the layout process.
3.4 Plan the Album Structure
Decide in advance how the album will be organized. For example:
- individual spreads for each student (portrait, questionnaire, quotes, achievements);
- shared pages with class photos and school events;
- thematic sections by year or event.
If you are working with a designer, it is important to review and approve the layout at every stage.
3.5 Before Printing
We recommend ordering a sample copy to check the accuracy of the information, photo placement, and color quality.
Once approved, the entire print run can be sent to production.
4. Plan the Timeline in Advance
Spring is the busiest season for printing houses, so we recommend starting preparations at the beginning of the school year. This will help you avoid rushing and ensure the albums are ready for the graduation celebration.
Collecting photos, questionnaires, and other materials, as well as creating the layout, may take several weeks, especially if the whole class is involved.
Printing graduation albums usually takes 2–3 weeks after the final layout is approved.
If necessary, express production may be possible upon prior agreement.
Let creating your graduation album become an enjoyable and inspiring part of preparing for this important milestone!
