The Year of the Book in Estonia: Abiprint’s highlights and inspiration for your next creation

A meaningful event came to an end in Estonia — the Year of the Book (Raamatuaasta). It has been a time dedicated to the printed word, to stories, and to the people who create them. The Year of the Book began on January 30, 2025 and ended on March 14, on Mother Language Day.

For our printing house, Abiprint, this year has been special. We are proud to have helped bring the ideas of dozens of authors to life. Over the past year alone, about 50 unique publications have come off our presses — from poetry collections and memoirs to professional business guides.

In an age of endless notifications, feeds, and digital noise, the book has gained a special value. It brings us back to a rare state today — deep focus. Opening a book is like stepping out of the stream of instant reactions and learning once again to follow thoughts, focus on meaning, and reflect. Reading requires quiet and internal dialogue, helping maintain critical thinking and the ability to see what really matters beyond the informational noise. That’s why, in the digital age, a book is not a relic of the past, but a quiet and reliable support for a clear mind.

Why do authors choose small print runs with Abiprint?

Many think that publishing a book is a complex process that requires large print runs. We prove the opposite:

  • Printing from 1 copy:

Perfect for personal gifts, test runs, or exclusive editions.

  • Professional quality:

Your books will look just as impressive as those on the shelves of major stores.

  • Support for local authors:

We are in Estonia, nearby, and always ready to advise on paper and binding choices.

The Year of the Book is ending, but your story is just beginning!

If you have a manuscript on your desk or have long dreamed of turning your knowledge into a beautiful publication — now is the perfect time. Let’s work together to make sure next year brings even more books.
